Fin's Story
In October 2009, our beautiful son Finlay was diagnosed with a brain tumour when he was only 3 years old. CLIC Sargent were there to help and support Fin and our whole familiy, throughout his illness. They provided an invaluable home from home for us at CLIC House in Bristol so that we could all live near to the children's hospital where Fin was receiving his treatment. This also gave Fin the opportunity to have somewhere to call home when he was well enough to spend time out of hospital. Being with other families also going through this terrible experience was another blessing of living at CLIC House.
When Fin was well enough to return to our own home, CLIC Sargent continued to provide care and support for him on the CLIC unit at Treliske. From here they also provided our own wonderful outreach nurse to care for Fin at home whenever he needed it.
Sadly, we lost our precious Fin on 21st September 2011 after he fought a very brave battle, nearly always with a smile on his face.
CLIC Sargent are an amazing charity who will always remain extremely close to our hearts. With your help, we can continue to raise money to go some way towards repaying this special charity for everything they have done for us and still do for so many other families like ours.
