As some of you may know, Aurora has for the first time chosen a ‘charity of the year’, Back Up, to work with throughout 2013, and beyond, to help make a real difference to the organisation and the people they support. Along with providing strategic communications counsel we are also signing up to run, swim, cycle, skydive and row to fundraise for this worthy cause.
Why did we choose Back Up? A few minutes browsing their website will show you the amazing support they provide for people with spinal cord injuries, from their renowned wheelchair skills courses helping people learn how to live independently, to mentoring and telephone support to help people adjust and adapt to the challenges of life after their injury whilst rebuilding their confidence and helping them achieve their goals. Plus, they have a brilliantly dedicated team and a very personal connection to one of the Aurora family.
