We are planning on running the Spartan Race on November 18th 2012 to raise money for the Ascension Eagles Cheerleaders. The Spartan race is a 12 mile Obstacle Race from Hell. I have decided to do this to help raise money for one of my favourite charities -- the Ascension Eagles Cheerleaders (AEC). AEC began in November 1996 as an outreach of Ascension Church Centre, Custom House, Newham. Initially, AEC started as a way to keep youth off the streets & engaged in an activity that promotes fitness & social interaction. Over the past decade, AEC has been recognized as 1 of the UK’s most successful youth programs, as well as Britain’s best all-round cheer program. AEC aims to transform and inspire young people to reach their full potential, while providing the highest level of training, coaching and community development work. AEC makes a difference in the lives of young people so they can make a difference to others in their community and in the world.
This year we would like to send our Youth Team to the European Open Championships, Disneyland Paris. Our Youth Team are eligible to compete here after winning Grand Champion and National Champion status at last season ICC British Open Championship; therefore this team really deserves to represent the UK at this European Open Championship…and WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!
