The Acre Foundation is the charitable arm of the sustainability recruitment consultancy Acre, based in London and New York. Run by our team, the Foundation's focus has paralleled that of the business; to impact people, communities and the environment in which we work. Every year we undertake a challenge in support of a range charities.
In February 2018, the Acre Film Club screened the multi-award winning documentary: A Plastic Ocean. A Plastic Ocean is a documentary shot on more than 20 locations over the past 4 years. Explorers Craig Leeson and Tanya Streeter, alongside a team of international scientists, reveal the causes and consequences of plastic pollution and share solutions.
Working closely with Jo Ruxton, the Executive Producer and Co-Founder of Plastic Oceans Foundation, we decided to focus all of our support into this charity, addressing the global issue of plastic pollution and how it impacts our waters, sea life and humans.
A year into fundraising for this exciting and impactful cause, we have decided to continue our efforts through 2019/2020.
If you've yet to watch the documentary, I strongly urge you to do so. Thank you very much for your support.
