GSC Grays – ‘Tees Charity Challenge 2016’
Thank you for visiting our ‘TEES CHARITY CHALLENGE 2016 - TEAM PAGE’.
A team from GSC Grays have decided to plan and undertake a 72 mile non-stop relay walk, setting off from the beautiful Cowgreen Reservoir at the head of Teesdale and following the route of the River Tees to the industrial heart of Middlesbrough.
They will be setting off first thing on Friday 23rd September and hope to reach the iconic Middlesbrough 'Transporter Bridge' by 3pm on Saturday 24th September - all done in less than 30 hours - hopefully!
A few of our more daring Directors – namely Guy Coggrave, Chris Arundel, David Cooper and Lucinda Riddell, along with other key staff have accepted this Challenge! They will all be ably assisted by many other members of GSC Grays, who are showing their support with help and encouragement along the way; with refreshments, driving duties and most importantly – spreading the word about the challenge, so we can hopefully smash our fundraising target.
We have chosen to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research and the Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team. Given that we are planning to walk the route of the Tees, which perfectly bisects our key client areas of both County Durham and North Yorkshire, we couldn’t think of two more appropriate charities to support this year.
Because we are raising money for both of these charities from the same event, we would love the total funds raised at the end to be evenly distributed between the two…. So this is where we need your help - please can we ask that you split your chosen donation between the two charities and for ease, each of the charity fundraising pages are linked to this page.
A huge thank you in advance for your support and sponsorship - You'll see our team fundraising target on the right and your donation can really help us smash this goal!!!
For more information, keep an eye on our website www.gscgrays.co.uk or follow us on social media as we will be providing live updates on both Twitter and Facebook as the challenge progresses.
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity you have chosen. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the
