It is so exciting when an individual inspires others to make a difference in the world. this can be done through great acts of heroism as easily as it can be accomplished through quiet acts of comfort (and everything in between). Inspiring each other to make the planet we all inhabit a little better is one of the greatest gifts we can give each other!
So who is Team Andy Lincoln and why are we fundraising for Barnardo's? We are The Walking Dead Fans, Love Actually fans, This Life fans, Teacher's fans...we are Andrew Lincoln fans! Throughout the years he has put forth so much passion, love, and heart not only in his brilliant work but also in his philanthropic endeavors that we couldn't help but be touched. Time and time again he has shown his devotion and love for his fans by continuously giving back to us; he’s made countless fan’s days by posing for photos with them, signing autograph after autograph, listening to us, and recognizing us as being much more than ‘just’ fans. He is the celebrity but he treats us like we are the star. He’s inspired us and has made our days brighter simply by spreading his love and kindness. We thought it was high time that we fans returned the generosity!
Barnardo’s is a fantastic UK-based charity that Andrew not only supports but also serves as their ambassador. Barnardo’s works directly with over 200,000 children, young people and their families every year. They provide counselling for children who have been abused, fostering and adoption services, vocational training and disability inclusion groups. Andrew plays a vital role in helping Barnardo’s by helping them foster a better living for thousands of vulnerable children in the UK.
We’ve partnered with Barnardo’s to raise money in recognition of all of the amazing work Andrew has done to support the needs and the well-being of children. We will be running a series of social media fundraising campaigns and auctions to support this fantastic and vital charity and say THANK YOU to Andrew for all he has done for us!
