On Saturday 6th June 2020, a team of us will be stand up paddle boarding 26 nautical miles (30 miles) around Bournemouth bay.
We have set up Stand Up to Cystic Fibrosis (www.SUP2CF.co.uk) to help increase awareness and raise funds for ongoing research for a treatment to extend life quality and expectancy of cystic fibrosis. We chose an ocean-based activity as it is believed the sea salt air is beneficial to those living with CF.
For our marathon SUP, we will paddle board around beautiful Bournemouth Bay, going up to iconic Old Harry Rocks and across to Hengistbury Head. As we launch into the salty waters in the early morning hours we will be scattering 65 roses at sea - for those lost and for those living in hope.

About CF
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
