Project Riandu is ambitious. Very ambitious. Because it seeks to address a massive need. The team consists of a collaborative partnership of individuals, mostly students, passionately committed to a shared vision and a big mission: we're planning, fundraising and building a school for deaf teenagers in Riandu, Kenya - all in the next three years. Here we go!
Our project is to build a specialist school for 200 students who would otherwise not get a secondary level education . Our architecture team will design, and we'll be raising a whopping £300,000 to create an effective, lasting resource. We're working with locals who'll run the centre, helping hundreds of deaf children in years to come. Phase one breaks ground summer 2014 and we aim to finish by 2017.
