Pedal Africa 2012 is a sponsored cycle trip in aid of charity. We are a group of students from the University of St. Andrews, setting out this coming summer to cross the African continent by bike, from East to West. It will be an epic journey, but what's more is, it will raise awareness of life, culture and conditions in southern africa, while raising money to support charity initiatives in Africa and locally in Scotland.
Our project is to raise significant funds for our chosen charities through sponsorships, donations and fundraising. To the right you see our fundraising target; when we reach £14000, we'll be able to fund an entire pump for a village in Africa while also supporting designated UK charity!
