I will be celebrating my 40th Birthday in October, which for anyone is a milestone, however for someone like myself who was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease (cancer of the lymphatic system) when I was 24 it really is something worth celebrating.
Having married my partner Paul in June this year he announced to everyone during his wedding speech that for my birthday he had booked and paid for me to go wing walking! It is something I've always wanted to do but never thought I'd actually get to do it.
Well it’s come around and all being well I'll be doing it this Saturday (weather permitting).
Unfortunately the Civil Aviation Authority have deemed it illegal to raise money for charity wing walking.
So before the wing walk I will be turning myself into MR SHEEN and polishing the plane! If you would like to help celebrate both my madness and the fact that I will be celebrating my 40th birthday please sponsor me to become MR SHEEN.
I would like to support 2 charities:
Firstly Cancer Research UK, a national charity that I think most people have heard of, who were the sponsors of the clinical trial on which I was a patient and as we all know do a massive amount of work and therefore need a massive amount of money.
Secondly I would also like to sponsor a local Hull & East Yorkshire charity; The Daisy Appeal, was established to help improve treatment and research opportunities in a variety of common diseases, most notably cancer, heart disease and neurological illness, and are now aiming to raise £6.8 million to create a permanent patient scanning and research centre.

Unfortunately its not possible to set up one web page to split the money equally, hence the links below for donating. Therefore if you could either make two donations, or have a look and make your donation to the one with the lower total. This way the money goes direct and gift aid can be claimed.

If anyone wants to come and watch me polish the plane followed by the wing walk display it will be at Breighton Aerodrome, Selby, Yorkshire, YO8 6DS on Saturday. I have been told to be there for 1.30pm and believe everything will be done within 1 hour.
