Welcome to our joint “Crawl Brawl” Just Giving page. To understand what this is all about we need to go back to a conversation on 18th January…
Steve: I went swimming yesterday.
Hayley: Ha Ha Ha Ha Really??
Steve: Yeah, first time in ages. Did ok.
Hayley: Ha Ha Ha, I haven’t been swimming for ages either, but I would beat you easily.
Steve: What?! Seriously? No you wouldn’t.
Hayley: Yes I would.
Steve: No chance.
Hayley: Easily! If you don’t believe me let’s have a race.
Steve: Erm….cough….OK.
Hayley: Grrrrrr!
Steve: Grrrrrr!
….And so “Crawl Brawl” was created. A 1000m swimming battle for office bragging rights, set for 21st April 2016 at the famous Loughborough University Pool. In one lane, Hayley “The Hammerhead” Wessier versus in the other lane, Steve “The Squid” Perks. Who wins?...Who Knows?.....Who Cares???
Who Cares?? We care: Will the younger, more athletic Hammerhead be overconfident? Can the Squid’s unique body shape actually float? Will either be able to restrict their respective diets of Pizza and Guinness to enable them to complete the distance?? So many questions to be answered come 21st April. So come and witness the event for yourselves (Steve has promised to wear shorts rather than budgie smugglers) and cheer us on. We will need all the help we can get.
Finally and most importantly, it’s for a great cause. We are aiming to raise £500 towards DNV GL’s fundraising partnership with The British Red Cross. Please be generous as there is a lot of dignity to be lost!!
