We've joined together to raise money for the University of Southampton's campaign for the Centre for Cancer Immunology.
The University of Southampton leads the UK in cancer immunology research. Our exciting discoveries are moving out of the laboratory into clinical trials, where they are already making a world of difference to people with cancer. We are seeing real success. But there is much more to do.
Immunology is saving lives. Our groundbreaking research using the body’s immune system to eradicate cancer is so powerful it can last a lifetime. A lifetime that can be so much longer. But revolutionary research needs revolutionary facilities. The Univeristy needs to raise £25m to open a state-of-the-art Centre for Cancer Immunology in 2017 and you can be part of the cure.
Our major campaign will fund the first dedicated cancer immunology centre in the UK. Connected to leading institutions worldwide, this cutting-edge research hub will enable our interdisciplinary teams to expand clinical trials, explore new areas and develop lifesaving drugs. This is the biggest fundraising campaign the University has ever undertaken and you can be a part of it. We have already received donations totalling more than £13m from our supporters.
