Haiko Backer is raising money for Rhino Ark

Story
The aim of the Rhino Charge is to raise money for the Rhino Ark, which will go towards the building of a fence to protect the black Rhino of the Kenya Aberdares National Park, within the Aberdare Mountain Range. (www.rhinoark.org)
The Rhino Charge has become a sporting event attracting competitors from all over the world.
Car 53, is a fairly recent addition to the charge. 2007’s team consisted of Haiko Backer, Ron Preesman and Piet Vandenberg. Car 53 has been participating in this worthwhile event for the last 5 years, each year with an aim of raising more in sponsorship than the previous year.
The team raised 1 million KShs in 2005. The team finished 5th in 2006 and as the first team to have completed all the check posts. They did not finish in 2007 due to mechanical failure but raised KShs 1,100, 050 towards the cause.
