Story
This is Zoe’s Memorial organ donation fundraiser. Family and friends are coming together to support a wonderful cause.
Money raised will be used to educate and teach nurses about organ donation and how to reuse organs after someone has passed.
This is Zoe’s backstory involving the organ donation register.
Zoe was the face of the national organ donation campaign and after her death helped boost registration of potential donors by almost 11,000.
Zoe (25 at the time) sadly passed due to two successive brain tumours, but in the months leading up to her death created a legacy, that to do this day will help to prompt the importance of organ donation.
Zoe’s dying wish was to donate her body tissue to help research into diseases such as the cancer which ended her life. Her eyes were also donated to be used to help four people to see. Even her last moments were dedicated to helping others and just days before she died she said: "I feel so proud that I can help others once I'm gone. It's not about me, it's about you. Get thinking, get talking and get involved. It started with devastating news but at least I can still help."
We hope her story inspires your into registering you decision and if you’re able to please donate to an amazing cause.
