Raising money for Myeloma UK and Macmillan Cancer Support

Story

Update: Thanks so much for all your generous donations so far! We’d like to raise a similar amount for both charities if possible so if you’re wondering which to choose go for the one with less donations!

Hattie and Els are doing the Great North Run!

Our family was knocked for six after a cancer diagnosis last summer. We fancied the challenge of a half marathon to help give back to two amazing charities which offer support to families such as ours. It's a massive challenge for both of us - Hat's recently had a baby and I've recently had way too many beers and takeaways.

Multiple Myeloma is a lesser known blood cancer, with a wide range of symptoms. Whilst there is no cure, there are a number of very effective treatments which are improving all the time. Macmillian & Myeloma UK do loads of important work supporting patients, funding even more new treatments and working with the government to improve cancer care!

If you can spare the cash, we'd really appreciate any donations to either charity, some words of encouragment or even just join us for a run.

Peace and love x
