Challenge yourself by running the Oxford Half Marathon for Sobell House. Last year, our fantastic team of runners raised more than £25,000, which helped to provide essential end-of-life care to our local community.

Story

For 43 years, Sobell House Hospice has been providing specialist palliative care to adults with advanced, progressive illnesses and supporting families facing loss.

Each year, they provide more than 3,000 people in Oxfordshire with the care they need on their ward, day centre, in the local hospitals and in the community.

By making a donation to our cause, you are helping to make sure that more people can get the care they need.

Our team Yaaro (which means friends) comprises of Arslan, Mohsin and Vikaran. We met at Oxford during our studies and grew up in Pakistan and India, two countries which have defined their relationship by the baggage of a bloody and tumultuous partition. We believe, that one day the people of our countries will be able to overcome the engineered hate towards one another and it is to that future that we 'run' towards. We can not change the past, but we can certainly reimagine our future.
