Story
It's a little known fact (because it was a bit of a shock to us tbh) but I have Chronic Kidney Disease. Thankfully at the mo this is under control :-) But Kidney patients like myself are at higher risk of Covid19 and other flu type illnesses.
Kidney Wales are doing a brilliant job at the mo supporting people in Wales with information, free masks and support. They have difficulty financing this as normal fundraising activities aren't permitted at the mo.
Jo Watson and I are going to do a 10k walk on 25th July. Whilst this is an easy challenge for us we are restricted what we can do at the mo so we would still value your support. We should have been doing the Welsh three peaks this month, but obviously this has had to be cancelled.
It's a very difficult time financially for a lot of people at the moment. But if you can give anything, no matter how small, we would appreciate it.
Sarah xx
Some info from Kidney Wales:
As a charity, Kidney Wales work tirelessly to provide support to patients and their families living with Kidney Disease in Wales.
With the spread of COVID-19, it is more important than ever that we are able to provide support and services to the Kidney Community here in Wales. For many kidney patients and their families, this period is a very a difficult one with lots of anxiety about what's ahead. Enquiries about Coronavirus (COVID-19) have surged and were busy responding and planning activities to keep people connected.
As an independent charity, all of the services that we provide to patients and their families depend on donations and fundraising events. Unfortunately due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, a lot of those fundraising events have been cancelled or postponed meaning that a lot of funding that Kidney Wales was depending on is now uncertain.
We need you more than ever! Please help us continue our work during this time of crisis by donating to the appeal today.
