Story
This unique and daring journey is designed for adventurers eager to explore the Arctic's untouched beauty while contributing to a noble cause. The expedition, taking place in June 2025, will challenge participants to kayak through the stunning Norwegian Svalbard Archipelago, navigating past six distinct glaciers, and engage in hikes up to 6 hours long under the extended daylight hours of the Arctic summer.
The primary goal of this self-funded mission, which marks WOAM's 13th expedition, is to raise $50,000 USD. The funds are dedicated to two outstanding charities: Women for Women International – UK and, for the first time, HumanityCrew.org. Women for Women International has been a long-standing partner of WOAM, working tirelessly with marginalized women in conflict-affected countries to transform their lives. The organization champions equality, peace, and prosperity by supporting women survivors of war to rebuild their communities through skills development, income generation, and advocacy for their rights.
* 97% of all funds raised through this expedition on JustGiving (net of JustGiving fees) will go directly to Women for Women International’s work with women survivors of war. 3% of funds raised through JustGiving will be used to cover Women on a Mission’s essential operational costs.
