Winthrop's Terrific Ten are all volunteers at Winthrop - a sensory community gardens and cafe in Wickersley on the outskirts of Rotherham in South Yorkshire. We run a Memory Cafe and, more recently, have started a support group for carers so we all have an insight into the challenges faced by people living with dementia and their carers.

Every Christmas we have fun knitting 'toppers' for chocolate oranges which we sell to raise funds for Winthrop. By getting involved in this challenge we can also raise funds for Dementia UK to fund Admiral Nurses - so its a WIN, WIN, WIN
