To celebrate the inauguration of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj at SKSST Kenton- Harrow, we are aiming to circle our Mother Earth collectively (25,250 miles). To help us achieve this target, we will be running, walking, cycling and much much more.
Story
Firstly, a huge thank you to those who supported us throughout the challenge and those who have kindly donated!
Hitesh and Shivani started the 5 mile run at 8am on Saturday and finished within the hour, withstanding the rain and roadside splashes. At noon, Divya, Neha,Urvi, Anji, Ashna and Khayal (age 11) joined us for the walk. We all successfully completed the 10 mile walk in 3 hours, despite the intermittent heavy rain. The next morning, Hitesh started the 60 mile cycle journey in the heavy rain which continued throughout and made it back to the temple safely in the late afternoon, cheered on by friends and family along the way.
We'd like to give a big shout out to all the volunteers who gave their time to ensure everything ran as smoothly as possible and made sure water and snacks were available for participants. Another huge thank you to the organisers of the event who facilitated a well managed Trikon challenge which we successfully completed.
