Our mission is to make a lasting impact in the health and well being of people in developing countries by reusing pacemakers which are currently thrown away in the UK as waste.

Story

Pace4Life is responding to this situation by undertaking a project that will see thousands of unused pacemaker, ICD, CRT devices including accessories sent to a charity hospital in India and providing complete implant support by highly qualified healthcare professional team from Milton Keynes University Hospital, United Kingdom.

This will enable us to deliver costly healthcare to a population where 90% cannot afford life-saving treatment such as Pacemakers/ICD/CRT devices implantations. instead of the wasteful practice of binning unused pacemaker, ICD, CRT devices in the United Kingdom.

During this charity hospital visit we will provide high quality treatment for as many patients as we can, aiming to complete at least 50 CIED device implants and electrophysiology study + RFA ablation for needy patients. Our senior Consultant Cardiologist and electrophysiologist will also be sharing his experience with complex procedures in a serious of lectures to enhance their work knowledge with existing team in the charity hospital.

We are the team of 5 healthcare professional travelling to a charity hospital in India to provide voluntary cardiac medical device implant services between March 23rd, 2024, to April 6th, 2024, at free of cost. It will have a total cost of £2000 per healthcare professional including flight expenses, accommodation, local transport, and food.

We are seeking your generous financial support towards covering part of this medical device implant camp in India.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Pace4Life is seeking to establish a process whereby people/patients donate old pacemakers to Pace4Life to be tested, and either reused or recycled.
