Story

S2W TEAM VALIANT:-

RIDE LEADER IFFAT TEJANI: a Breeze champion learnt to cycle as an adult loves bikes, chocolates, discovering new places to ride too, pretends she is an export on Komoot, can talk about cycling 24-7 and hopes one day the world is dominated by Muslim Women Cyclists.

Ride Assist Latifa Abouchakra - started cycling for commutes but fell in love with the burning sensation in my legs and the feeling I could conquer any road on my Beast (bike pet name)

Shamim 'Aunty' Ismail - I have always admired people who could cycle; they were able to enjoy the outdoors in a way I never could and keep fit at the same time. I was inspired to learn to ride by watching my grandchildren fearlessly set off on their bikes for the first time with only thrill and excitement in their eyes, despite knowing the risk they might fall. During the lockdown, I decided to race my 4yr old granddaughter at learning how to ride a bike. We would set our selves daily goals and check each other progress at the end of the day.

Cycling has enabled me to keep fit and travel through trails and places I would never have otherwise journeyed. Best of all I go on rides to the park and dessert shop with my grandchildren! Who says you are to old to learn to cycle!!!!

Samana Fazel:- I’m a novice cyclist who is just getting into the sport. As a footballer at heart, I’ve had to search for sport that gives me similar buzz whilst keeping me fit during these strange times. I’m enjoying exploring new areas and having fun on 2 wheels!

Siddika Walji :- I have always enjoyed cycling. I love the feeling of the fresh air hitting your face while on the bike. During the last year I decided to take it to another level and pushing myself to new heights. I have enjoyed cycling with my kids exploring new trails and admiring the beauty of the great outdoors.

Sidd:- I am very passionate about cycling and I have being cycling since I was young. Cycling being outdoors, keeps me away from Tv, computer and kitchen.

I enjoy cycling in groups/solo exploring different scenic countryside/parks and trying various coffee stops. I love my new Trek bike (2nd hand) and I am looking forward to riding to Windsor to embark on this noble cause AAWA and to thank Allah for this humble opportunity, and riding with my awesome Valiant team.

Ride as much or as little, or as long,or as short as you feel, But Ride!!!

Mohsinah Datoo:- mainly a single digit mile rider but looking forward to upping my game for such a worthy cause.
