We are the Wellesbourne Wobblers. In September 2023, we will be running the Great North Run, then in April 2024, we will be running the Manchester Marathon, followed by running the London Marathon the following week. Yes, you read that correctly - back to back marathons.

We are raising money for Alzheimer’s Research UK. We each have our own reasons for wanting to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK, so please take a look at both of our fundraising pages. But ultimately Alzheimer’s is a horrific disease, that is massively underfunded, yet impacts so many people. One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime. We have to do something to bring this number down, if not eradicate it completely.

Sept 2023 - Great North Run

We completed the Great North Run. It was hideously hot, and shortly after crossing the finishing line, we got drenched by an absolute torrential downpour - but we did it! Thank you to everyone for your support.

Nov 2023 - Table Top Sale

£107 raised at our Table Top Sale. A huge thank you to everyone that came and supported us!

Nov 2023 - Christmas Light Switch On

A further £207.20 raised at the Christmas Light Switch On, along with a number of raffle tickets sold (value of which has been added to the raffle ticket sales).

December 2023 - Enabling Christmas Market

£95.36 raised at National Grid's Employee Resource Group Enabling Christmas Market, along with another chunk of raffle tickets sold (value of which has been added to the raffle ticket sales).

December 2023 - Wellesbourne C of E Primary School Christmas Fete

£62.50 raised at our local school's Christmas Fete, along with some more raffle tickets (value of which has been added to the raffle ticket sales).

£727.50 raised. We couldn't have done it without the amazing support from all the local businesses that donated raffle prizes and our friends and family. A huge thank you to you all.

February 2024 - Quiz Night

£489.08 raised at a fantastic quiz night in the village hall! Congratulations to Mind your Own Quizness, how won by a 0.5 point.

14th April 2024 - Manchester Marathon
