Race Across Wessex

Inspired by the hit TV Show 'Race Across the World, ' this event sees teams of Water Industry partners race across the Wessex region, all in aid of Water Aid.

Teams are led by Wessex and Supply Chain members, and colleagues, friends, and family are encouraged to participate and support them on the day. The teams of 2-5 people will utilise maps and teamwork to navigate checkpoints to reach the finish line in the shortest time.

Trailblazers

The Trailblazers programme, set up by the Wessex Water WaterAid Committee, is a professional development programme that empowers those looking to gain project management experience and provides an opportunity to run their own WaterAid fundraising event. All participants receive training from Wessex Water to equip them with the skills and knowledge to deliver an event that raises £5000 for WaterAid.

WaterAid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation.

Since 1981, WaterAid has directly reached 28 million people with clean water; 28 million with decent toilets; and 26 million with good hygiene. Only by tackling these three essentials in ways that last can people change their lives for good.
