A massive fight card is lined up for this weekend’s PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. At the top of the card is a blockbuster heavyweight title fight between Francis Ngannou and Renan Ferreira.

Francis Ngannou looked pumped for his return to the cage tonight with a fiery face-off in the final Ngannou vs Ferreira PFL heavyweight fight press conference. The two fighters went eye-ball to eye-ball as they butted heads before Ngannou declared to his opponent that he would "let him know who is the king". Ngannou will fight in yellow and black trunks; Ferreira in grey and black.

The event is billed as the "Battle of the Giants" and for once the hype lives up to the billing, not least because his opponent is the 6'8" Brazilian Renan Ferreira. Despite his time away, a height, weight and reach disadvantage (see 'Tale of the Tape below) and being three years older than Ferreira, Francis "The Predator" Ngannou starts as favourite. Expect drama from the two big men and a generous display of blunt force trauma.

The PFL Battle of the Giants main card starts at 4 p.m. ET, with the early prelims at 1:30 p.m. ET. Ngannou and Ferreira should begin around 8 p.m. ET, depending on how long the undercard fights last.

The co-main event will see Cris Cyborg vs. Larissa Pacheco in a women’s MMA superfight. Cyborg (27–2, 1 NC) is a former UFC, Strikeforce, and Invicta FC featherweight champion and the current Bellator featherweight champion. Her last MMA fight was in October 2023, and she has competed in boxing while waiting for Pacheco.

Pacheco (23-4) shocked the world by beating Kayla Harrison in 2022 in the PFL lightweight tournament. She has since won four straight in dominant fashion, winning the 2023 PFL featherweight tournament last November.

The 30-year-old Pacheco, last year’s Fighter of the Year, looks to repeat at the expense of the 39-year-old Cyborg. Pacheco will not let time off or the age gap play a factor in what could be her toughest fight to date.

Ngannou - a former UFC heavyweight champion — returns to MMA after leaving the UFC in 2023. In the meantime, Ngannou took up boxing fights against two of the sports best: Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. He lost both. Ferreira, who holds the PFL heavyweight belt, has been on a four-fight win streak since June 2023 and is 11-3-3 in his 11-year MMA career.

The two will fight for the Professional Fighters League (PFL) heavyweight title. Ngannou has been away from MMA for two years. After switching over to boxing, he first fought Tyson Fury before being knocked out by Anthony Joshua earlier this year. And below is how you can watch Ngannou’s fight against Ferreira.
