Story

In 2023, New Dawn Pubs, Insta Group, The Barley Mow, and 1st Call Trees are joining forces for the challenge of walking approximately 100km around the Isle of Wight across 3 days, in aid of National Energy Action and Cherry Trees.

The Participants are:

New Dawn Pubs: Julian Clarke, Mark Robson, Mark Williams, Callum McMillan, Sarah Coxon, Kelly Hobbs, Emily Luong

The Barley Mow: Mac, Rob Collecott

Insta Group: Dave Robson, Helen Robson, Liz Cox, Rachel Croft, Paul Griffiths, John Reed, Lynsey Reed

1st Call Trees: John Benson, Christine Benson, Grace Benson, Sharon Maxted

The Charities are:

National Energy Action is the national charity working to end fuel poverty in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They offer advice and support to fuel-poor households, as well as advocating for policy and regulation to protect the most vulnerable households. They also offer training to frontline staff of other organisations, to they can best support fuel-poor households.

Cherry Trees is a charity providing exceptional home-from-home, specialist short-break respite visits for children and young adults aged 0-19 with a range of complex disabilities including learning, physical and sensory impairments. It is is a unique place, providing professional care in a safe, stimulating and fun environment, where every child is valued for who they are. It is a community that is dedicated to children and young people, enabling them to spend time with friends and enjoy new experiences and opportunities, while their families have a much needed break from care themselves.
