On 13th August, 2014 my life changed forever. My son, James Paul Usher suffered cardiac arrest. It was fatal. He was 25 years old. For his dad, our families, friends and his 3 beautiful children this was, and still is shocking and the grief continues.

Me and James’s Godmother, my dear friend Jeanette Zaman-Browne have supported The Heart of London Bridges Walk before and this year, the 10th anniversary of James’s sudden death we will be walking in memory of him again. His best friend in life , Will Jones is joining us with Jem Bentouri and their baby son Oakley.

Sudden cardiac death is not something that only happens to other families…every week in the UK 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions. C.R.Y. is working hard to prevent such young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and supports affected families.
