Here in the Darlington Building Society's Underwriting Team, we lost a dear colleague and friend last year - Joanne Craggs.

Joanne was a wonderful colleague and friend, and we miss her very much.

At Joanne's funeral, her family asked for donations to the North East Ambulance Service. We decided as a team we wanted to do a little bit more.

We have therefore decided to do a series of fundraising events throughout 2023 with donations going to the North East Ambulance Service in memory of Joanne.

Today was our first event - an indoor cycling challenge! Colleagues had to guess how far we could cycle as a team throughout the day and donate to win a hamper.

As a team we completed 116.02 miles throughout the day!

Well done to our winner Mark R who guessed 117 miles.
