Story
On Sunday 4th July, University Lodge of Liverpool No. 4274 members will be walking 20.6 miles from Christleton Masonic Hall- Liverpool Masonic Hall as part of the 'Freemasons Challenge' which is a nationwide effort to walk the distance from every single masonic hall around the U.K. where a University scheme lodge meets. The combined distance is a staggering 2021 miles. This is just one aspect of the many charitable events and fundraising that Freemasons do every year.
Since the announcement of the death of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a number of Freemasons have suggested ways for the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) and the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) to pay tribute to Bro HRH Prince Philip, a Freemason for over six decades.
To mark his decades as a member of the Craft and his lifelong commitment to charity, the MCF will be making a significant donation on behalf of Freemasonry.
The Duke of Edinburgh was connected to a wide range of charities across the UK, and in June we will be selecting one or more of these charities to receive a grant to mark what would have been his 100th birthday.
Please help us by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about this cause the better, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
