Story

We are a group of Royal Navy veterans that are raising money for the Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity.

The team are in training to take on the Thames Bridges Ultra Challenge Walk trekking across the Capital taking in unrivalled views of the skyline, and historic landmarks. Setting out from the Putney Bridge start we head East towards the City, zig-zagging over 16 historic bridges – each with its own fascinating story – and a mid point rest stop at The Oval Cricket Ground for some snacks & drinks. 25km later, it’s a party style finish line celebration in Southwark Park past the final crossing – the majestic Tower Bridge.

About the charity

The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity is the principle charity of the Royal Navy. Beneficiaries lie at the heart of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity's purpose, it is our duty to remain focused on their needs. Since 2007, we have funded projects and facilities that boost morale for those who serve today. We also distribute millions of pounds annually to military charities which care for the children, families and veterans of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.
