Story
On Friday 28th February, we will be coming together at Shoreditch Platform for drinks, dancing and photography from across London and India. All the money raised on the night will be donated to the London Community Foundation and Vision Rescue India.
People who are unable to attend the night have asked if they are still able to donate some money. We have created these Just Giving pages for them!
THE CHARITIES
All the money raised will be split and donated to two charities helping to make their communities better.
The London Community Foundation: "We strengthen the community from the ground up. Our vision is of a strong and vibrant London, where local people are able to solve local problems."
Vision Rescue India: "Children in slum communities are often malnourished and many of them are uneducated and in high-risk situations. With a little love and care, Vision Rescue seeks to empower these individuals and bring dignity to entire communities."
PHOTOGRAPHY
The photos displayed on the night were taken by me and my godfather, Pat. The pictures draw parallels between London and cities throughout India. Though worlds apart, these photos show that community can be the common ground.

STORY
Whilst travelling across India, we met some amazing people who were keen to teach us about their culture. As we learnt about traditions, religion and history, it became evident that the community played a key role in their lives.
Returning from my trip, I realised that it often feels like London is lacking in this sense of community. With everyone rushing around, it seems like there’s no time for it anymore.
Wanting to do something about this, I decided to create this event: a night for us to all come together, have some fun and raise money for two fab charities that put community front and centre.
Thank you for your donations.
