Event: Big Walk 2022, on 24 June 2022
The Big Walk 2022 is back and better than ever! Returning on Friday 24th June, walkers will be fundraising to give hope to families living with the ongoing challenges of a genetic disease.

Story

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page!

Cirque du Sore Legs is made up of Helen Barlow, Hannah Morgan, Emily Harlington, Emma Jepson, Emily Badger, Beth Asquith, Dan Newberry, Fran Carr, Jodie Shelton, Katrina Gillett, Lou Blee, Rachel Eustice and Emma Bird.

We work within the HR department at The University of Sheffield and on Friday 24th June will be taking part in the Big Walk 2022 in support of Genetic Disease Research at the University of Sheffield.

The majority of us are aiming to complete 30km, climbing a total of 793m (that’s like climbing the Arts Tower more than 10 times!), through the Peak District, with a celebratory drink at the University Arms at the finish line!

In the UK alone, 1 in 25 children is affected by a genetic disorder. Sheffield's research will change the lives of families who are desperately seeking a treatment for their loved-one. By making a gift today you will give hope to families living with the ongoing challenges of a genetic disease.

Any and all donations are hugely appreciated to help reach our fundraising goal!
