Story
Joe and I are going to be doing The Mighty Stride at the Edinburgh Kiltwalk on the 15th Septemer which is only 21 miles (ouch) !! Why are we doing this? To raise funds for St Andrew's Children's Society (where I'm incredibly proud to work) which will go towards providing support for adopted children, young people, adults and their families. St Andrew's Children's Society is a fostering and adoption charity and we are committed to providing lifelong support to adopted children, and their families. Being adopted doesn't mean that the trauma and loss a child has encountered in their early years disappears. A high number of children and their adoptive parents will need support at different points of their lives. Workers at the agency regularly provide services such as Theraplay, Safebase, Therapeutic Life Story Work, adoption counselling and tracing/reunions. 75% of our Adoption Support Services are supported by fundraising.
So, please support us, any donation would be welcomed however big or small and will help Joe and I keep walking when it gets painful!
