Story
Le Tour de Rugby League Cares is a 500-mile on-road cycle ride across France, starting on the Atlantic coast at Biarritz and finishing at the Mediterranean resort of Canet-en-Rousillon near Perpignan.
Over six epic days, the riders will scale the heights of Mount Everest on a route that takes in the legendary Pyrenean climbs, the Col du Tourmalet and Col d'Aspin.
The riders include former RL international players, all of whom are saddling up to raise the funds RL Cares needs to continue its work supporting some of the most vulnerable people in communities where rugby league is played.
The route goes through areas with a great rugby league tradition, including Biarritz, Pau, St Gaudens, Toulouse, Carcassonne and Perpignan.
Rugby League Cares is an independent charity that touches on the lives of people involved at every level of the sport.
We support players at the end of their careers, providing education and training grants that will equip them with the skills and qualifications needed for life after rugby.
RL Cares promotes mental fitness and healthy lifestyle initiatives that are changing and saving lives.
