Event: Marathon March 2022, on 24 September 2022
Our sixth Marathon March will see 140 Crystal Palace fans walk 26.2-miles around south London, raising valuable money for vulnerable young people in the community.

Story

Yeah, alright, maybe we're a little older than some of the other teams walking the Palace Foundation Marathon, but we intend to make experience count.

As Doc Brown says in the video, we were 'Made in South London', but we were also made in the Eighties – last year's walk was completed to the sound of 26 miles' worth of musings about Duran Duran (which was only marginally less annoying than actually listening to Duran Duran).

We are Louise, Dave, John and Tony, four survivors of the era of mullets, shoulder pads, New Romantics and Garry O'Reilly's chunky cardigan. We were there and saw it all with our own eyes, which is why our team name, the Tommy Langley Experience, pays tribute to one of the seminal figures of 1980s CPFC.

Although four of us will hopefully do the full course, we have a number of other supporters (Steve, Phil and hopefully some other relics of Palace past and present) who will join us to walk as far as they can and provide moral support.

We're walking to give something back to South London and also because, frankly, we could do with the exercise. Thank you for your support.
