In 2018 Prime Appointments set a goal to raise £100,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society. Co-founder of the business and best friend to Prime MD Robyn Holmes, Margaret Locke had tragically been diagnosed with the disease at just 51, forcing her to leave the business and the friends she loved. Over the pursuing years we all could only watch on as the disease gradually destroyed hers and her families lives.

In conjunction with the Alzheimer’s Society who are the leaders in searching for a cure for the disease Prime made it their mission to raise money to support them. Through bake-offs, a sky dive, the annual memory walk, golf days, raffles, a half marathon and all sorts of other fundraising we steadily progressed towards our goal.

In 2022 Margaret’s son Drew competed in an Iron Man in Margaret’s memory! He joined our team and boosted our funds by raising over £11,000. Also inspired by Alzheimer’s Charlie Milsom and his friend Freddie raised a massive £19,255 for our funds later in the year cycling from Geneva to London. With this support we have smashed the £100,000 goal so onwards and upwards we said to £250,000!

This year we have continued our fundraising and now we are delighted to welcome Stuart Levett to the team. Stuart lost his Mum to Alzheimer’s so he knows the devastation the disease can cause. Stuart has been a massive inspiration and support to us since the beginning helping us enormously at our golf days and in other ways through his drive and determination to raise awareness of the disease.
