Story
SASH is a registered charity preventing homelessness in young people aged 16 to 25 throughout North and East Yorkshire. Nearly half of the young people who come to SASH facing homelessness, do so because of family breakdown. The Charity gives vulnerable young people a safe and stable place to stay, when they have nowhere else to go.
Right now, there are young people in our community living in unstable family circumstances, surrounded by abuse - all they have to look forward to once lockdown is lifted, is the dread of being kicked out of their family home or making the impossible decision to flee a toxic environment. Support workers are predicting a huge rise in the need for support after lockdown is lifted. We want these young people know that there is hope and a better life after lockdown.
In support of such an important cause, we have decided to complete a virtual lap of Yorkshire by running, walking and cycling the 450 miles together this July. We would really appreciate a kind donation in support of our challenge.
