The Walk from Llangwm, Pembrokeshire to Birmingham takes place in June 2025 to raise money for 2 very important charities, British Heart Foundation and Help Harry Help Others Cancer Centre, Birmingham.

Participants will walk all or part of the c225mile route to say thank you to our Dad's, alive and passed. The walk will take 11 days and will finish on Father's Day, 15 June 2025.

The Walk is from Llangwm to Birmingham and created in honour and loving memory of Wally Hames, who having contracted Covid, passed away on 22 March 2020. This being the evening before the national lockdown of March 2020, it meant only 6 people attended the funeral and being from different households, the family could not travel together, sit together, having to socially distance. The family was unable to grieve together or support each other. There was no celebration of life, the wider family, friends and colleagues could not bid him farewell, offering the goodbye that he deserved.

The Walk allows friends and family to walk together in memory of Wally and say thanks to him and to all of our Dad's.
