Story
Philip - I am running my first Marathon in memory of 2 very special ladies. My Auntie Celia who passed away 12 years ago after a long tough battle with lung cancer, she was brave and beautiful till the very end. The other special lady is a family friend Val, she was the life and soul who lived life to the fullest but sadly passed away suddenly this year in Spain. Both ladies had a massive influence on my life and I hope I do them proud.
Laura - To run the London Marathon has been an aspiration of mine for as long as I can remember and I feel incredibly honoured to be running in order to raise money for a cause as worthy as the Roy Castle Foundation. Cancer affects so many of us and it is a privilege to be able to play a small part in supporting the amazing and vital work of the RCLCF.
Lee - I did my first London Marathon last year and having never really ran any distance before I set an ambitious target of sub 4 hours. I actually did it in 3 hours 55 minutes so this year I aim to beat that!!! I found completing the London marathon and raising money for an amazing charity was such an overwhelming experience. I have chosen to support the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, to help support such an amazing charity in the outstanding work that they do. As a HEMS pilot working in a charity environment, I understand the great importance of supporting charities to ensure that they have the ability to continue to provide incredible services day to day long into the future.
