Story
St. Raphael's cared for Dad/Granddad towards the end of his life. The care they gave him was amazing and nothing was too much for them. Even giving him a glass of whiskey now and again and cooking him a "nice bit of belly of pork" when he fancied it. He had regular visits at home before he was admitted to the hospice and even now the hospice are looking after Mum/Nan with bereavement counselling and catch up phone calls. So we are, as a family, trying to repay a little bit back by participating in the St. Raphael's Lavender Memory Walk on 26th June. At St Raphael's Hospice, they strive to improve the lives of those affected by terminal or life-limiting illnesses, giving them and their carers the confidence to cope and enjoy the best quality of life possible. They care for patients wherever and whenever they need them. They believe that hospice care is about life and living, not just death and dying.
The Hospice needs £6 million a year to run, relying heavily on public donations, legacies and fundraising to keep going.
Please donate if you can. We would really appreciate it xxx
