Story
I remember hearing a statistic that 1 in 2 people will get cancer and I thought that can’t be right, it’s too high a probability.
Then cancer came and affected my family, someone close to me was diagnosed and I saw first hand how hard the battle against cancer can be.
I’m running as a reminder how privileged I am to have health and fitness. I’m running as a stand against cancer and for everyone fighting it.
Macmillan are unsung heroes who do amazing work and have been a tremendous support to my family. I’m proud to be raising money for them.
There are currently over 3 million people living with cancer in the UK, with someone receiving a cancer diagnosis every two minutes. We know that one in two people in the UK will experience a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. For more than 100 years Macmillan has been there for people with cancer when they needed them most. Today is no exception!
