Story
The Iron Ladies are back, bigger, better and stronger than before.
We will be once again kicking cancers butt by taking on the mighty Thames path marathon on 16th July in aid off Macmillan, the amazing charity who change the lives of those who’s lives have already changed.
26 miles along the river Thames is a real challenge, it takes an amazing team to pull this off but the thought of helping family, friends and people we will never meet will get us through the months of training ahead, the blisters, the worn out trainers, sore feet, legs and anything else that can be thrown at us.
We will do this together and would really appreciate any donations you are able to give,
Here at Takeley Ironing we have all been affected in one way or another by Cancer. We have sadly lost loved ones and friends, and have loved ones and friends who are going through or have been through the gruelling treatment to help save their lives.
Currently we have our dear colleague Paul who has been going through treatment now for around 3 year. some days he is great some days he is not, and it really takes it out of him. Paul has a very brave little 9 year old daughter called Willow. She looks after her daddy extremely well. Even down to having her hair cut for charity. She is an inspiration to us all having so much on her little shoulders.
This has inspired us all here to take on this great challenge for our families and friends past and present.
