Swim for Dementia
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
Could you make a splash for people affected by dementia? We're challenging you to swim 1, 5 or 10 miles in 30 days.

Story

We are prodominantly a group of NHS Professionals and Teachers based in Scarborough that have been sea swimming together for only a couple of months and decided that we needed a challenge.

Dementia has affected us all in different ways, from our continuous work within the NHS, working closely with families and patients or on a more personal level seeing loved ones battle this disease. It is important that we unite and strive to learn more about how we can manage, support and conquer this condition.

We have set ourseleves a challenage to swim 5 miles each in the space of 1 month. That is 8km each/322 lengths of a 25m swimming pool…..EACH! We are doing this as a group of 6 people and will be swimming in the sea, swimming pool and lakes throughout the 30 days of September.

If you have a pound free then please help us to raise as much money as possible to help support this very worthy cause. Every penny counts.
