Throughout 2023, over 70 colleagues raised over £12,000 install and fully equip a library for this special kindergarten school in Nairobi. Baobab nourishes, through food and education, 90 children, aged between 3-6, all of whom come from the poorest of backgrounds.
As part of our efforts, we completed 25 and 50-mile walks, encompassing the London-based venues in our portfolio. What's more, our Experience Golf team completed an all-day golfathon, in nail-bitingly cold conditions on the Duke's Course in St Andrew's. We raised over £8,000 thanks to every single one of you!
"Thank you for the helping hand you have held to us. The library you have built has helped us a lot an we really have discovered more. The books in the library have also helped us to improve our vocabulary. In our country it is very rare to see someone reading books or going to the library."
In 2024, we continued to support The Baobab, in raising funds to kickstart and support both a feeding programme (Keth's Kitchen) and sponsorship of the Baobab Football Team (Keith's Kickers), which includes provision of a coach and kit. We have now raised over £20,000 for this school!
This year, we aim to raise money to bring The Baobab bus to life; this will ensure that schoolchildren with no longer have to walk to school, where conditions are harsh with busy roads, long distances and unsuitable footwear. Keep your eyes peeled for our next big challenge!
