What is the Rickshaw Run you ask? Imagine racing across 3,500km from south to north India in a wholly unsuitable rattling rickshaw. Two idiotic friends, no set route, no back up and absolutely no idea if we're going to make it.

The lovely organisers of such a silly event suggest that we use it as way to do something sensible: raise at least £500.00 for the charity Cool Earth and anything else raised should go towards a charity of our choice which in our case is The Darjeeling Childrens Trust.

Charity one, The Darjeeling Children's Trust: The vision of the Darjeeling Children's Trust is simple: offer a brighter future for children and young people in Darjeeling by improving living conditions and providing education, healthcare and vocational training.

Charity two, Cool Earth: works to protect endangered rainforest in order to combat global warming, protect ecosystems and to provide employment for local people. It's a simple approach: back the people that live in the rainforest in order to protect the rainforest.
