They are known as the Dirty Dozen – a group of pragmatic, heroic, and stoic individuals with a singular mission: to make a difference in the lives of those affected by dementia.
Led by their unwavering determination and fuelled by their collective passion, the Dirty Dozen will embark on a journey to raise funds for Dementia UK. Each member bring unique skills and expertise to the table, forming a formidable force against the challenges ahead.
First among them is Captain Marlize Wood, a seasoned leader with a sharp mind and a compassionate heart. With her strategic prowess and unwavering resolve, she will guide the team through every obstacle they faced.
At her side stands Lieutenant Andrew Hislop, an expert in logistics, travel and planning. His meticulous attention to detail ensures that every aspect of their mission will be carefully coordinated and executed flawlessly.
Sergeant Jacob Turner, a skilled communicator and empathetic listener, lends his talents to connect with supporters and spread awareness about this cause. His ability to inspire others with his words make him an invaluable asset to the team.
Then there is Corporal Scott Pearce, a tech-savvy genius who utilises his expertise to harness the power of social media and online platforms, amplifying the group message to reach a wider audience.
Private Mia Thrope, brings her knowledge and compassionate care to the forefront, offering support and guidance to those affected by dementia and their families.
Private Darren Williams, a former firefighter, brings his bravery and resilience to the team, tackling challenges head-on and never backing down in the face of adversity.
Private Caitlin Collier, an artist with a creative flair, uses her talents to, captivating the hearts and minds of supporters.
Private Alfie Bennett, a fitness enthusiast, leads the team in rigorous training sessions, ensuring they are all physically prepared for the demanding tasks ahead.
Private Gavin Cook, a finance expert, manages the team's budget with precision and skill, ensuring that every penny raised is used effectively to support their cause.
Private Chris Jenkins, a construction worker with a knack for building and problem-solving, lends his expertise to organise fundraising events and initiatives, bringing communities together in support of their mission.
Private Trevor Bamber, a teacher with a passion for education, focused on raising awareness among young people about the impact of dementia, empowering them to make a difference in their own way.
