Story
Together as a team we have decided to take on Tearfund’s The Climb to raise vital money for Tearfund. This money means that people living in poverty will be better equipped to deal with the devastation of coronavirus. Each of us has chosen to take on a different mountain, and to climb it over the course of 14 days in our homes. (See below for full list)
Were starting to see the impact coronavirus is having on some of the poorest communities. In places with poor healthcare and less infrastructure the potential for devastation increases. Covid-19 has affected all of us, but it is having a truly tragic affect on the most vulnerable in our world.
By sponsoring us you will help Tearfunds work, including promoting hygiene practices, providing food for those in quarantine and building hand washing stations.
We have set a huge goal of £2000 (!!!) and we need YOUR support to help reach this. We are joining as part of Tearfund’s Emerging Influencers and are working together to reach a goal of £50,000 - which would be enough money to provide the essentials to the entire Baranquilla Refugee camp in Colombia to prevent against coronavirus. As you can imagine, refugee camps are extremely high risk when it comes to this virus as living so close together makes it impossible to self isolate.
These goals are huge, but this is such an incredibly important cause. We need your help to fight injustice and provide emergency support to the most vulnerable in our world.
Thank you!

UPDATE:
Thanks to your incredible generosity, we reached our target of £2000 within 2 days! Since most of us still had 12 days left of our challenge, we felt that we should increase our target further to £5000, which would allow even more people to be reached and impacted by Tearfund's work. This extra £3000 could provide a further 1,000 families with a months supply of hygiene products or 183 families with 3 months of hygiene training and food support! We would really appreciate your help and generosity in helping us reach this target, and thanks again to everyone who has already supported!
