The majestic mountains and sprawling lakes surrounding Keswick, in the Lake District National Park, offer a stunning backdrop as your bike, hike, and paddle around a course in a race against the setting sun.

Story

Friends Kate, Matt, Alison & Andy are preparing to race against the sun by taking part in a triathlon-style team triple challenge, journeying through majestic mountains and sprawling lakes in the heart of the beautiful Lake District National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Why?

To raise funds for Action Medical Research who are a UK-wide charity funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies and children. They fight for answers that can lead to cures, treatments and medical breakthroughs for some of the toughest fights our children face. Please help us to raise funds.

When?

September 7th 2024

Where?

We will start off at sun rise for a 40-mile bike ride in Keswick in the Lake District among some of the highest mountains in the UK.

Next, is a 10.5-mile round trip via the summit of Skiddaw which has an altitude of 931m.

Finally, we will jump into open-top kayak to navigate a 2-mile water course off the shores of Derwentwater nestled in the glorious Lake District National Park, aiming to reach the finish before the sunsets. Ready for a BBQ & beer!

Please support us and this amazing charity by donating what you can.

Oh and if you see us out training give us a wave!

Thank you,

Kate, Matt, Alison & Andy
