Story
Annabel Du Boulay founded The Glastonbury Gnostic Centre & Chapel in May 2018 to provide a sanctuary for the Rose Lineage spiritual tradition and to host events inspired by Gnosticism.
For 2 years, the Chapel hosted a programme of by-donation events inspired by the Rose Lineage & Gnosticism, raising charitable funds, and was open to the public for prayer, run by a dedicated team of volunteer priestesses.
Although the premises are now closed due to the pandemic, we are continuing to offer its by-donation events online under its new name The Avalon Rose Chapel, facilitated by founder Annabel Du Boulay and supported by the Chapel's Rose Lineage priestesses.
You can find out more about the Chapel and our by-donation Events on Annabel Du Boulay's website whilst our new Chapel website is being built.
We run an annual programme of online by-donation Events following the Gnostic Calendar of the Year such as the Resurrection Rites, the Ascension Rites, Mary Magdalene's Feast Day and the Black Goddess Rites.
We look forward to you joining us and helping us to raise much needed funds for our chosen charities - currently Unseen (the UK's foremost charity against slavery & human trafficking, based in Bristol); Project Harar who provide life-changing surgery to children in Ethiopia born with facial disfigurements like Annabel's disabled son Zac, who was born with a paralysed face and cleft palate; and Womankind Worldwide's project with Ethiopian partner Siiqqee to further establish women-led cooperatives as a space for women to gain financial independence, new skills and increased confidence and status in the community.
Zac Du Boulay also has his own JustGiving page where he raises funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, where both he and his sister were patients.
On behalf of The Avalon Rose Chapel and the charities we support, thank you so much for your interest and donations.
