Story
Someone once said when you love someone with dementia you lose a bit of them more and more everyday. When they are diagnosed, when they go through different stages, when they go into care and when they die. 😢 This is called “Ambiguous Loss.”
‘Rapidly shrinking brain’ is how doctors described it. I wouldn't wish Dementia on anyone. As the persons brain slowly dies, they change physically and eventually forget who their loved ones are. They can eventually become bedridden, unable to move and unable to eat or drink.
For all those that have (or had) friends or family members living with Dementia l send my love and strength, it is not an easy pathway for anyone involved & heart-breaking to watch. To all those wonderful people who work daily with our loved ones as they go though this I send you a huge hug, you are amazing.
We as a family are personally on this very sad journey & in an effort to raise awareness of this very cruel disease, we (Suzy, Sam & Ollie) are completing Trek26 London on the 28th May 2022 for Alzheimer's Society.
Please help us raise money for this amazing charity by donating to our page.
Thank you to everyone for their support.
